AscendTaxes is the client portal Darian Owens uses with the people he prepares for. It is not a marketplace, not a claim about other firms, and not a substitute for a signed return.
What it actually is
- A Live Tax Bill that shows a planning picture from numbers on the file — projected tax, refund or amount owed, effective rate, and what those figures are based on.
- A client portal for documents, a secure vault, messages, tasks, and filing checklist — year-round, not only in April.
- Workflow and return stages the preparer controls. AI can explain and summarize. Deterministic tax math stays the source of truth. Labels like [VERIFY] stay in place.
- Tax Pulse and Morning Intelligence for reviewed, signed amounts — never mixed up with a planning estimate.
Human accountability stays in the loop
Clients can explore a scenario and send it to their preparer. The preparer reviews, confirms, or changes the real numbers. The product does not file, does not give legal tax advice on its own, and does not claim guaranteed savings or refunds.
Bank connections and live billing are held on purpose. Sandbox and waitlist states stay labeled as such.
